Formed by American saxophonists Noa Even and Phil Pierick in 2009, Ogni Suono is committed to expanding and promoting the repertoire for saxophone duo by commissioning and performing new works. Delicate, raucous, and everything in between, the music of Hong-Da Chin, Alex Mincek, Quinn Collins, James Bunch, and Ian Dicke oscillates between hocketed, layered, and blended textures, pushing the boundaries of expression possible for two saxophones.

KAYLEIGH BUTCHER & HOPE LITTWIN
Kayleigh Butcher and Hope Littwin will be performing Kaija Saariaho's vocal duo From The Grammar of Dreams. This piece takes its text from different poems by Sylvia Plath which are then strewn together to create disjunct, sometimes odd, and surreal dream-like narratives.

GRAHAM STEPHENSON & AARON ZARZUTZKI
Graham Stephenson (trumpet) and Aaron Zarzutzki (synthesizer) are part of Chicago's improvised music community centered around Myopic Bookstore and other long-running platforms. They use the extremities of their instruments to explore unstable sounds and textures. They have performed as a duo in Steuben, St. Paul, and Brooklyn, and in many other contexts and groups of improvisers in Chicago. Their 2013 record, Touching, was released by Erstwhile Records; tonight's show is a release event for No Dice, from Hideous Replica (UK), itself a recording of the Touching release show. Tonight's performance will incorporate a 20th century score in addition to improvisation.
