American composer and music producer Hope Littwin makes embodied, expressive music that fuses chamber and vocal writing with electronics and choreography. Drawing on early lives in dance, theater and song, she builds each work around the particular voices and bodies of the artists she collaborates with, treating performance as something physical and communal rather than merely heard.

The Daily Princetonian describes her music as inhabiting a "euphoric realm, where the physicality of musical expression is fully embraced — where music is not only something we do, but something we are." She has been commissioned by ensembles across the new-music and choral worlds, including the Attacca Quartet, Alarm Will Sound, Ekmeles, ModernMedieval, Hub New Music, Yarn/Wire, Gallicantus, Quince Vocal Ensemble, Caballito Negro, the Bergamot and Dither Quartets, and Pro Coro Canada. Recent works range from Prince of Peace for string quartet and singer (Attacca Quartet) and Ginger, Ginseng for six voices (Ekmeles) to Cathedrals for fixed media, electronics and tap dancer.

In 2026 she premieres Dream Bigger, a new orchestral work for the Princeton University Symphonia. She has held residencies and fellowships at the Banff Centre for Arts and Creativity, Avaloch Farm Music Institute, the Esalen Institute and Ragdale.

Alongside her concert work, Littwin leads communal sound ceremonies and Chamber Meditations, hosts The Hope Littwin Podcast, and is the founder of Sanctuary Studios. A classically trained singer who scored ballets, operas and films early in her career, she is pursuing a PhD in Music Composition at Princeton University, with a dissertation titled Beyond Our Understanding: Music as Spiritual Technology.
