a lullaby for SATB choir with soprano solo
A lullaby, words and music by Hope Littwin, written for Pro Coro Canada.
Soft, soft / open mouth / breathe in what you're feeling
Out, out / you can let it out / fill the room from floor to ceiling
Musts and nows / why's and how's / count them till you're dreaming
The troubles of today / will seem far away / first thing in the morning
You can count the marks / etched into your heart / for armour, arms for wielding
Or, one hand on your heart / melt them into stars / to wish upon the evening
Rest, now / listen to the sounds / of your heartbeat and your breathing
Soft, soft / open mouth / breathe in what you're feeling
